Bondi’s beach may have once been known as the area’s biggest drawcard, but it seems the district’s brunches are proving strong competition to the sandy strip. Case in point, the arrival of superstar actor Will Smith into the suburb on Saturday morning. The celebrity was so impressed with his breakfast at local haunt Porch & Parlour that he documented it on his Instagram.

Talking to his 4.8 million followers, Will declared: “I ABSOLUTELY HATE when people post pictures of food! BUT…this damn green pea pancake at Porch & Parlour in Bondi Beach, Australia… it broke me, y’all.”

As for the breakfast he was talking about – Porch’s famed green pea pancake is a savoury take on the breakfast favourite that comes topped with avocado, snow pea, a ‘porched’ (read: poached) egg, feta, and a zucchini and mint salad.
