The rumours are true: Cadbury Caramilk is coming back

Strike gold when the blocks hit shelves next week.

The most coveted of all the Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate blocks – the mythical Caramilk – will hit supermarket shelves next Wednesday, October 2.

We all remember what happened last time Cadbury bought back Caramilk. Basically, chaos ensued. Many supermarkets had to limit the number of blocks per customer, war brought out between the aisles, while meanwhile, some savvy shoppers stocked up big time, reselling their loot on Ebay for ten times the price.

Wondering what all the hype is about? The chocolate block, which was discontinued in 1994, is cherished the country over for its caramelised white chocolate flavour and smooth, creamy texture –  however – if you ask me, Marble is way better. Bring back Marble.

Diehard Caramilk fans that simply cannot wait the seven days can get their hands on an early pre-sale block (this is what we’ve come to) for $4.80 not $48, from Cadbury’s eBay store starting Thursday, September 26.

Note to resellers, if your plan was to profit from the blocks again, this time around Cadbury has limited the order to one per person. So thank you for ruining it for the rest of us.
