Put it in the diary.

Celebrate the best in new season produce at this year’s Carriageworks Autumn Seasonal Market, held Saturday, March 18 in Eveleigh, Sydney.

Get ready for the holidays and start filling your (Easter) basket with fruit and vegetables, farm-fresh eggs, artisan bread, organic and biodynamic meats and cheeses, plus pickles, preserves, condiments and more.

It’s a chance to meet and greet producers, ask those inkling questions and learn more about where your weekly shop comes from. The markets will include around 60 stalls by leading producers like Pepe Saya, Vannella Cheese, LP’s Quality Meats, Sonoma, Wildflower Brewing and more.

No need to eat beforehand, there’s plenty of food on site for an alfresco brunch or spontaneous snack, including loaded focaccias by AP Bakery, salads and dips by Kepos St Kitchen, pastries by Flour & Stone, Coffee from Single O and fresh juice from Parker’s Organic Juices.

Arrive at 10am for Meet the Producer, a seasonal Q&A session with Corey Grech, Gamillaroy and Wonnarua cook and Director of Native Foods and Kitchens at Native Foodways. Join Grech and delicious. Editor Krysia Bonkowski as they discuss native food in Australia and the importance of a regenerative and meaningful system of cultivation and distribution.

Not sure how to incorporate native foods into your everyday cooking? Stick around for a masterclass with Corey at 10:30am, where he will show you how to make his signature beef burgers with bush tomato chutney and lemon myrtle chicken burgers. Don’t forget to stop by the Native Foodways stall to shop native ingredients and learn more about this ground-breaking First Nations-led social enterprise.

The Carriageworks Seasonal Autumn Market will be held on Saturday, March 18 2023 from 8am – 1pm. For more details, to view the participating stallholders, head to carriageworks.com.au.
