120 producers and artisans will gather at 2018's Carriageworks Christmas Farmers Market.
For those passionate about producers and artisanal wares, Carriageworks’ weekly markets are mecca. The bevy of stalls gathered have been curated by creative director and former fine dining chef Mike McEnearney, and are heavily slanted towards foodies, enticing 5,000 visitors each week.
Perhaps only slightly more popular than the weekly foodie gathering is the annual Carriageworks Christmas Farmers Market, already raring to return to 2018 for its fourth year. December 22 from 8.00am till 1.00pm will see 120 producers and providers congregate in celebration of the festive season, and all its edible delights.
Food and produce has been confirmed as a key focus for the event this year, so expect a bounty of fresh hams, lambs, and seafood, as well as cheese and Christmas puddings among more, all sourced from around New South Wales. In short, the markets will be a one-stop shop for all your Christmas entertaining needs.

“Carriageworks Christmas Market is the perfect place to buy food and gifts from 120 local producers and artisans. It’s a great opportunity to chat to the makers, get to know more, and share the story about the food you serve and the gifts you give,” says McEnearney of this year’s event.
2018’s incarnate will be even bigger than before, with 21 new stalls welcomed. Among these will be a Fink Group stall, where star chefs Peter Gilmore and Lennox Hastie will be personally signing books and selling merchandise (a special Snow Egg tattoo has also been promised).
Also making an appearance will be Continental Bar and Deli (with their tinned cocktails in tow), Andy Bowdy of Saga Enmore, Seedlip, and The Provider Store. This is alongside regular producers that include Fish Butchery, Kurrawong Organics, Drive in Orchards, Kitchen Green, and Southern Oyster Providores among others.
