Chefs' little black book of restaurants revealed

The Pass

Want to know where the country's favourite chefs choose to eat?

It seems Australia is obsessed with finding out just where our top chefs choose to eat. Case in point? The Pass. The local podcast that proved so popular in 2017 is back for its second season from tomorrow, March 27.

As an insider’s guide to the country’s cafes and restaurants, the new season will again reveal the little black books of some of Australia’s brightest cooking talent. For 2018, Neil Perry; Victor Liong; Fleet’s Astrid and Josh; Andrew McConnell; and Jo Barrett will be sharing just where they eat, from fine dining haunts to the hidden gems.

The first podcast will kick off with celebrity chef Neil Perry who shares just where he loves to dine around the globe. In this first episode he divulges some of his foodie secrets, including his favourite hidden hot-spots when it comes to simple (but brilliant fare), including Melbourne’s Shandong Mama Mini and Sydney’s Happy Chef.

Fellow chef Andrew McConnell shares Perry’s thoughts on both venues, also revealing his favourite date spot (Embla) and takeaway of choice (Rockwell and Son).

To hear more of the venues of choice for the nation’s chefs make your way to The Pass every Tuesday.
