Who said all good things must come to an end?
There’s no point denying it – Australia is in the midst of a burger frenzy that shows no signs of slowing down. Proving that the burger urge is set to continue well into 2017 is the news that Sydney pop-up Down ‘N Out has just announced a permanent address.
Created by the Hashtag Burgers group, Down N’ Out was born as an Australian ode to the American-style burgers of In-N-Out. After a successful stint at the CBD’s Sir John Young Hotel, the burger brand has announced it will become a permanent resident.
“We decided to make it permanent simply because ourselves and our customers are loving what we’re doing,” said Hashtag Burger Creative Director Ben Kagan. “We never want to leave!” Customers can expect the full menu to remain available, alongside the dining spot’s weekly specials. Menulog delivery will also be on offer.”
Down N ‘Out is preparing for a big 2017 at its new address, as well as further expansion around town. “After a crazy 2017 in the CBD and Penrith we want to continue to expand with more permanent stores, one out west, one up north and one down south,” said Kagan. The group also revealed plans to host another of its sell-out burger festivals in the next few weeks.
