Donald Trump’s head on a hot plate

Forget the waffle iron, The PancakeBot is the new must-have kitchen tech, if only so you can dig the knife in to the politician you love to hate (or in this case, eat).

We have Facebook to thank for the rise of pancake painting – those who can ‘paint’ the entire cast of Game of Thrones or the US election candidates using pancake batter and a hot pan, we’re looking at you Dr. Dan the Pancake Man. But if you’re seriously crap at drawing (guilty) and don’t want to risk third-degree burns to get in on the action, then enter The PancakeBot, a robot printing pancake maker that brings out your inner Van Gough turning you into an overnight art or YouTube sensation. Pancakes are the new #foodporn.

Pancakes for all

Designed by Norwegian Dad Miguel Valenzuela in 2010 for his pancake-loving daughters, the design, now in its third generation and with backing by StoreBound is now available to buy in the US.

So what’s the deal? You load your design via an SD card into the machine, then let the batter, suspended in a BPA-free dispenser bottle over a hot plate, do all the work. Want to make a pancake Sydney Opera House, tick. How about a pizza pancake, or iPhone pancake? The opportunities are endless. Now somebody pass the maple syrup.

Entertaining for small and big kids alike, you can also download some pretty sweet designs from online – there’s even a Donald Trump pancake design. Now we’re talking.

Retailing at USD$299.99, the machines currently only ship to the US and Canada, but we’re hoping the market to Oz will open up soon.
