In this issue of delicious. on Sunday, in Stellar magazine, we talk to British chef and restaurateur Marco Pierre White. The original bad-boy chef, White had three Michelin stars by the time he retired from the kitchen at the age of 33, exhausted from working 100-hour weeks. “When I was a young man, I was fuelled by my insecurities, ruled by my fears and driven by my dreams,” White says. Now he owns more than 40 eateries, has written several books including his 2006 autobiography White Slave, and is set to host the Australian version of Hell’s Kitchen.

In our weekly meal plan, chef Colin Fassnidge makes your favourite pub dinners, from pork chops with cider and fennel on Monday to Irish stew on Friday. Meanwhile, in his regular column, Matt Preston turns Inspector Gadget, looking at whether all those kitchen appliances you “must have” are really necessary.
