Sources close to the show say he has been shortlisted.
While the news may be hard to swallow, Marco Pierre White has been shortlisted for a hosting role on MasterChef season 12, according to sources close to the show.
Known as the ‘godfather of modern cooking’ Marco is considered to be one of the world’s best chefs. He was the first Briton to be awarded three Michelin stars, and at just 33 years old, the youngest chef in Michelin history to do so.
However, despite his impressive credentials, there’s a reason why many people haven’t considered him a likely contender. Known as the ‘enfant terrible’ of the UK dining scene and the man who taught Gordon Ramsay to be tough, he’s more likely to make a chef cry than to give them a pep talk and a hug. Afterall, MasterChef has always separated itself from its rivals through its positive vibes and encouraging atmosphere.
Despite his fearsome reputation, Marco has appeared on four seasons of MasterChef Australia where he has won over audiences with his droll sense of humour and apparent genuineness.
