Let's just say, she's definitely not an idiot sandwich.
MasterChef has returned to screens just three months after Justin Narayan took out the title of MasterChef Australia 2021 (yes, that really happened).
Instead of the usual amateur cooks, this time around, we’re getting Aussie celebrities. And as far as celebrity line-ups go, this one’s a lot better than what you’ll find on Dancing with the Stars.
That’s right, not influencers that you’ve never heard of, but actual celebrities and some serious high achievers too. We’re talking five-time Olympic gold medallist Ian Thorpe, fashion designer Colette Dinnigan, actors Rebecca Gibney and Matt Le Nevez, singer Dami Im, radio and TV presenter Chrissie Swan, sportsmen Archie Thompson and Nick Riewoldt and comedian Dilruk Jayasinha.
There’s also one international contestant, British TV presenter Tilly Ramsay. And if that name sounds familiar to you at all, it’s because she’s also Gordon Ramsay’s daughter.
Everyone is star struck by everyone else and it’s hilarious #MasterChefAU

For the first challenge of the season, the celebrity contestants are asked to cook a dish that they are famous for, with the best dish of the night winning its maker this season’s one and only immunity pin.
Each contestant pulled out their top family recipe. Rebecca Gibney makes whitebait fritters with chips – one of her favourite childhood dishes, while Chrissie Swann plates up roasted chicken marylands with a mascarpone potato bake.

Colette Dinnigan also made a roast chicken dish, served with creamed corn and bitter leaves.
However, in the Ramsay household, a family dinner certainly looks a little different.
The TikTok star and TV presenter opted for salmon and prawn gyoza with a brown butter soy sauce, showing off some seriously sophisticated culinary skills. And to think she’s only 19.
Tilly is going to be near impossible to beat.
She’s got technique galore. #masterchefau#CelebrityMasterChefAU

Tilly also makes sure to test the gyoza filling before she wraps them up so she cancheck the seasoning and flavour. It’s clear from the get-go that she thinks like a chef.
But it’s not enough for her to win round one. Comedian Dilruk Jayasinha takes out the season’s only immunity pin for his ren-damn curry. Thankfully, no one is eliminated (and let’s keep it this way, please).
Squid Game has ruined my ability to watch any kind of competition show without waiting for someone to get shot. #MasterchefAU
