We're lovin' it.

Forget flowers, the best kind of delivery on Valentine’s Day is the edible version. Chocolate-covered strawberries are a cliche, the champagne never arrives chilled and cake-pop bouquets are so 2015. So how exactly should you impress your love?

With the heart-shaped chicken McNugget box from Maccas. Seriously.

Everyone’s favourite fast-food outlet, whether they admit it or not, is spreading the love this Valentine’s Day with this limited-edition release which is available on February 8 for one week only. You get ten nuggets and your favourite person’s favourite sauce in a romantic, heart-shaped box that will show up on their doorstep via McDelivery.

You can even pick it up in-store and hand-deliver it along with a bunch of flowers.

We get it, you don’t buy it. But hear us out. Valentine’s Day is about telling the person you love how much you appreciate them. And surprising them with something they love to eat is a great way to do that. Just because it doesn’t come from a fancy restaurant or with a hefty price tag doesn’t make it any less meaningful.

It’s the fact you know they prefer the honey mustard sauce over the sweet and sour that matter. That you chose their sauce preference over your own. Remember the old adage it’s the thought that counts?

Maxine Netrayana, Senior Brand Manager, McDonald’s Australia, said: “We’re all about sharing the love with our 10-piece Chicken McNuggets box this Valentine’s Day.

“Because everyone has their own way of saying ‘I love you,’ we’ve said it in 10 different languages on the box to reflect the many different backgrounds of our customers and crew.

“It’s the perfect way to treat yourself or spread a little love this Valentine’s Day whether it’s with your mates, family or someone special.”

To celebrate the limited-edition box, Macca’s is giving away free 10-piece Chicken McNuggets with orders over $30 via Uber Eats, from February 8 for a limited time.
