Fairy bread is just one of the new flavours.
Forget chocolate, forget vanilla, and forget caramel; Gelato Messina are set to shake things up (excuse the pun) with their milkshake offerings. The sweet treat experts has just launched a new shake menu which, just like their gelato, will host a duo of specials set to rotate monthly.
Milkshakes and thickshakes have been available in Messina stores for some time now but not quite at the level of decadence that the new specials will offer to the sweet of tooth. A single permanent shake fixture will remain on the menu; The Classic which is a concoction of two scoops of dulce de leche, one scoop of white choc hazelnut and one shot of espresso. It will be joined by two elaborate specials, set to change with each month.
Launch flavours for June include the Red Velvet; created from two scoops of yoghurt berry and one scoop of vanilla blended with red velvet cake, topped with raspberry puree and red velvet crumble on top. There will also be vegan option The Oracle; three scoops of chocolate sorbet and coconut cream mixture, topped with maple syrup coconut clusters.
Next month is looking equally salivating, with a fairy bread flavour ready to make its mark. “Fairy Bread is a very popular Messina Special so we’ve turned it into one of our shake specials,” explain team Messina, “It’s got Messina-made fairy bread blitzed through it, and then even more fairy bread crumb on top.”
