Here's your chance to see what Neil Perry's collaboration with David Jones might look like.
Last month we reported that Neil Perry was teaming up with the good people at David Jones to revitalise the retailer’s iconic food halls.
Well, now’s your chance to see what that collaboration is going to look like.
Perry and the David Jones Market Street Food Hall will tonight present an exclusive, one-night-only pop-up for the Vogue American Express Fashion’s Night Out. Five seasonal dishes will be available across the food hall’s Asian Bar, Oyster Bar, Grill Bar, Wine Bar and Italian Bar. At $35 a head, with a glass of wine thrown in for good measure, that’s a pretty good deal.
Perry has taken his cues from his favourite restaurants and food destinations, particularly the Mediterranean and Asia, and the evening promises to be an exciting sneak peek at the future of the David Jones dining experience.
Here’s the full menu:
- Asian Bar: Dry style red curry of prawns with fragrant herbs and golden eschalots
- Oyster Bar: Freshly shucked Sydney rock oysters and hiramasa kingfish ceviche with Japanese flavours
- Grill Bar: Grass-fed fillet steak, minute style, with chimichurri and twice-cooked potato gratin
- Wine Bar: Pork and manchego meatballs with braised mushrooms; octopus in olive oil with white beans and smoked paprika
- Italian Bar: Gnocchi di Castagne with stracciatella, brown butter and thyme
Customers can book here. Limited walk-ins will also be available.
