The world's favourite domestic goddess will headline the Margaret River Gourmet Escape this November.

Nigella Lawson is returning to Australia to headline Margaret River Gourmet Escape, joining more than 40 of the world’s leading food and wine personalities for the three-day event.

Lawson, who was in Australia earlier this year to promote her book Simply Nigella: Feel Good Food, said she was excited about visiting Western Australia for the first time.

“I’m so glad to be returning to Australia and especially to a part of this food-rich country that I haven’t visited before,” she said. “I can’t wait!”

The best-selling author and television personality will take part in Q&A discussions and book signings and will be joined by some of the world’s best chefs, including Joan Roca from El Celler de Can Roca, Mauro Colagreco from Mirazur, and Andoni Luis Aduriz from Mugaritz. All three chefs recently saw their restaurants place in the top 10 of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.

Other international guests include Dominique Crenn, who was recently named the World’s Best Female Chef 2016, Rick Stein, Ashley Palmer-Watts, David Thompson, Ana Roš, and Janice Wong. The Australian contingent includes No. 1 Bent Street’s Mike McEnearney and Cutler & Co.’s Andrew McConnell.

Now in its fifth year, Margaret River Gourmet Escape consists talks, book signings, demonstrations, masterclasses, parties, and, of course, opportunities to eat. This year’s event takes place between November 18 and 20. Tickets are available through Ticketek.
