Having taken the internet by storm with his penchant for elaborate seasoning, #saltbae has found himself immortalised with a portrait. The Turkish chef Nusret Gokce, who came to fame thanks to his sensual salting of meat which launched a thousand memes, has found himself the latest muse of Melbourne street artist lushsux.

On a wall in Melbourne, #saltbae now resides, with lushsux unveiling his handiwork (rather fittingly) via his Instagram. Gokce, who runs a string of restaurants in Turkey and the UAE, is a fan of his portrait. On his personal Instagram account, which now has 1.7 million followers, Gokce posted a picture of the mural next to a message for his fans. “I am so grateful for the love from all over the world. Thank you for your support everyone,” he says.
