Tribal headpieces are out (thankfully), and square shakes are in.
The epic American music festival Coachella is raging on until April 21 and probably all over your social media feeds, if not news sites (we’re looking at you, news.com.au).
This year, “squares shakes”, designed and sold through Instagram, have become the hottest must-have items. American drive-in restaurant chain SONIC commissioned artist-chef Christine Flynn, who runs the parody account @chefjaqueslamerde – her tagline is ‘small portions, tweezered everything’- to deconstruct its old-school shakes into insta-friendly works of art.

Flynn broke down the shake flavours, which include bourbon brown sugar, and wildberry and lavender, and created little garnishes of butter toffee, berries, chocolate and even squared-shaped cherries.
The catch? You can only order the shakes through Instagram, at Coachella’s base camp.
