Famed butcher Victor Churchill has created a rather stylish storage solution, all in the name of a good cause.
At delicious. we do get excited about new-release fashion-forward handbags, but
we’d be lying if we didn’t admit to being a little more excited about the annual
Victor Churchill ham bag.
Each year, delicious. contributor and revered butcher Anthony Puharich and his team at Sydney’s Victor Churchill enlist a designer to create their Christmas ham bag. Last year, Del Kathryn Barton created a work based on her 2014 release ‘or fall again’ and, as always, it sold out.
This year, Janet Luxton has created a beautiful image of a Berkshire pig that will
star on the $25 bag. And if that wasn’t enough to get you across the line, all
proceeds from the sale of the bags will go to drought-appeal program, Buy a Bale.
Not only this, Luxton and Australian Galleries have donated the original 70cm x
70cm oil on Belgian linen artwork ‘Berkshire pig’, which is for sale at Victor
Churchill now for $4,500, and 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale will also
go to Buy a Bale.
It’s never been so easy to stylishly store your Christmas fare! But we suggest you get in quick to Victor Churchill to nab a bag if you want to avoid missing out.
