Don't say we didn't warn you.
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia’s focus on design isn’t limited to the runway. But the annual fashion foray is determined that 2018’s food and drink offerings are just as chic as its sartorial creations – you need look no further than the Vittoria Fashion Series for proof.
The 2018 incarnation of the fashion week favourite will see a handful of Australian designers again design a series of limited-edition coffee cup prints. Dion Lee, P.E. Nation, We Are Kindred, Macgraw, Insted We Smile and Aje have all confirmed their involvement in this year’s designs.
Two prints have been selected from each of the six designers involved to feature on Vittoria’s takeaway cups, and served at the brand’s pop-up cafe during the event. The sleek cups will also be incorporated into an installation created in an effort to showcase the Fashion Series in a curated gallery.

Fashion photographer Sonny Vandevelde was commissioned to create a series of ‘Behind the Seams’ fashion images of the designers which will feature on the takeaway cups. The illuminated installation is a celebration of Vittoria’s influence over Australian cafe culture, and its 60 years of roasting 100 percent Arabica coffe in Australia.
“As a proud third generation family business, Vittoria Coffee continues supporting the local fashion industry through our valued partnership with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia,” says Vittoria managing director Rolando Schirato of the brand’s involvement in the festival. “Following an overwhelmingly positive response from the industry and consumers alike, we wanted to go bigger than ever this year in line with celebrating our 60th Anniversary. We are very excited to be rolling out the next phase and all that we have in store for 2018.”
For those not making their way to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia this year, the Vittoria Coffee Fashion Series takeaway cups will also be available at a select number of retailers from May.
