If you head to Circular Quay’s Overseas Passenger Terminal on the 13th September, you’ll find a pop-up Victorian Era newsstand. What does this have to do with gin you ask? Approach the kiosk to receive a cucumber and Hendrick’s gin-themed newspaper, which you can then exchange in nearby bars and pubs for a Hendricks based concoction. Melbourne’s Federation Square will also be paid a visit by the same newsstand on the 20th September. Coonawarra’s most expensive wine has just been released for the pretty price of $300 a bottle. The 2016 William Wilson Coonawarra Shiraz Cabernet is a unique blend created by two of Coonawarra’s most famous families – the Balnaves and Redmans. The limited edition drop is a tribute to the Scottish gardener sired both families and is credited with the discovery of the region’s terra rossa soils. Just 200 dozen of the limited release bottles have been distributed to leading independent fine wine stores and is only available by direct mail order or by visiting Redman’s and Balnaves’ cellar doors.

Ushering in the arrival of spring in floral style, Sake Restaurant & Bar are hosting exclusive Champagne dinners and offering special cocktails throughout September.
