House Made Hospitality has launched their sandwich and donut bunker, This Way Canteen, in the Sydney’s CBD. Located on the corner of Bridge and Philip Streets and adjacent to the Museum of Sydney, This Way Canteen is the second venue House Made Hospitality has opened this year, following Bar Mammoni in March. Executive chef Stephen Seckold has put a modern Australian spin on a New York deli offering with this menu. Generous sandwiches (made with bread from neighbouring sister venue Grana Bakery) lead the way, including a selection of breakfast offerings such as the Hot Boi (pastrami stuffed into a bagel and topped with beet hummus, pickled onion and habanero mustard – $14), and Loxy (smoked salmon, herbed egg, onion, feta and horseradish on a bagel – $15). Head to their site for more info.
