The new brew is made from classic Mr Black coffee liqueur, aged in American oak barrels, then fortified with fresh joven (young) mezcal from Oaxacan distillery Ilegal Mezcal. The Butler Potts Point has launched 7 Flavours of Mexico, a multi-week culinary journey showcasing speciality dishes and cocktails from regions across Mexico. These dishes, curated by head chef Amber Doig, include Carne Asada, influenced by The North, Snapper a la Veracruzana from The Gulf, and Prawn Aguachile, inspired by the North Pacific Coast. A new flat wine bottle is doing the rounds. Created by Packamama, the eco-bottle shares the same high shouldered silhouette of a traditional Bordeaux bottle with a slimmer, flatter profile, allowing twice as many wines to fit in a case. Made from 100 per cent recycled PET plastic, it’s also lighter to carry, making it more convenient for picnics and garden parties.
