With stellar culinary credentials thanks to co-owner and executive chef Alla Wolf-Tasker, the Lake House has become known for its ongoing series of hands-on cooking workshops, bringing in some of Australia’s top food talents to host the events in the purpose-built Cooking School on site.

Born into a family of restaurateurs in the UK, Valli went on to train at the Cordon Bleu school in London before beginning a successful career as a food consultant and caterer. She’s also the author of a series of bestselling delicious. cookbooks – including Home Cooking, Simply the Best, More Please, Quick Smart Cook, Faking It, Love to Cook, Love to Eat and Feel Good Food – which are coveted for their easy-to-follow yet imaginative recipes.
