The best of Australian food was on full display at the 20th annual celebration of our country’s most legendary producers.
Winners of the 2025 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards have been announced at a lavish award ceremony held at Sydney’s Bennelong restaurant, inside the iconic Opera House. This was an extra-special evening, as the Produce Awards celebrates its 20th year of unearthing Australia’s finest producers. The exclusive event was attended by food industry leaders, top chefs and producers from across the country, and featured a bespoke menu highlighting star ingredients from this year’s finalists and winners.
Ahead of the event, delicious. Content Director Krysia Bonkowski said: “For 20 years, the Produce Awards has been the only national awards program to unearth and celebrate Australia’s top primary producers, and every year, we’re reminded how important that is.
“It’s something we couldn’t do without the support of our long-time partners at Harvey Norman, who share our deep respect for the food industry. Our gratitude also goes to our State and National Judges, who dedicate their time, and tastebuds, to the difficult task of deciding the winners.
“To the producers, to even make it to the judging table is testament to their dedication, and to our 2025 winners – congratulations. The future of Australian food is richer, and brighter, because of them.”

Harvey Norman Executive Chairman Gerry Harvey also attended the event with his partner Katie Page. Before the event, Harvey said: “Great food experiences, at home or in restaurants, start with the best produce. Australia is blessed with an abundance of the world’s most exceptional producers: from vegie growers to those tending livestock or harvesting fresh seafood. It is this diversity of talent that translates into flavour, as producers – especially those recognised as part of the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards – are increasingly ensuring their production techniques are seasonal, sustainable and innovative.
“We are proud to partner with delicious. on this important program that recognises and celebrates exceptional talent in Australia’s food production industry.”
A total of eight winners were named by the National Judging panel, which includes some of Australia’s most renowned chefs: Danielle Alvarez, Karena Armstrong, Jo Barrett, Peter Gilmore, Lennox Hastie, Matt Moran, Alex Prichard, Matt Stone and Alla Wolf-Tasker.
Winners were recognised across four major categories – Dairy, Earth, Paddock and Sea – and the judges also presented special awards to producers who have excelled in the fields of sustainability, innovation and artisanal craftsmanship.

The overall winner of the Producer of the Year award for 2025 was Michael Wohlstadt of The Dairyman Barossa, South Australia. Wohlstadt has deservedly been in the running for a national delicious. Produce Award on multiple occasions, and this year was finally his year to be celebrated in the spotlight.
Chef and National Judge Peter Gilmore said that he was honoured for the 20th anniversary award celebrations to be hosted at Bennelong.
“I’m very proud to be part of this campaign,” he said. “Each year, I am inspired by the quality of produce that we taste, and in awe of the resilience of our Australian farmers. Celebrating and supporting our Australian producers, who work tirelessly to deliver outstanding produce, is crucial for our industry.”
