Who scooped the pool in 2010?
This was the first year delicious. magazine officially hosted the produce awards, picking up where Vogue Entertainment and Living left off.
Fiery pimentos de patron peppers, organically grown deep in the Sunshine Coast hinterland at Richard Mohan’s Midyim Eco Produce farm, were awarded best new product.
Just out of the hinterland and down by the ocean, Spanner Crabs Noosa were awarded most consistently excellent product. Neil Perry praised the crabs’ sustainability and overall taste.
South Australia’s Pristine Oyster Farm picked up two gongs, taking out producer of the year and our from the sea category for their small, perfectly formed Angasi and Kumamoto-style Pacific oysters.
