And the winner is...
The winners of the 2020 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards, the country’s most prestigious food industry campaign, have been announced.
Now in its 15th year, the Awards celebrate the country’s new, innovative, native and consistently outstanding Australian ingredients grown, caught, sourced or produced with dedication, passion, knowledge and regard for the environment.
“This has been a year like no other. Yet once again Australian producers come out on top,” Gerry Harvey, the chairman of Harvey Norman said.
“The consequences of the pandemic have been felt in every Australian household, but before Covid, our producers were already contending with the worst drought and bushfires in living memory. Only to be followed by devastating floods.
“Even under these circumstances, the talent, hard work and entrepreneurial spirit of our local producers has delivered us top produce despite lockdowns and restrictions. Our kitchen tables have never looked or tasted so good, just when we needed it the most.
“I have so admired how our producers have changed their business models virtually overnight, to find ways to deliver their delicious goods to the customer.
“Congratulations to every nominee and winner of the 2020 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards. You are truly the best in the world.”
