Ingredients (8)
- 100g fig paste
- 25g runny honey
- 5g salt flakes
- 3 cups (750ml) fresh light red wine (we used pinot noir)
- 100ml apricot brandy liqueur (optional)
- Grapes, to serve
- Cheese, to serve
- Crackers, to serve

1.Place fig paste, honey, salt and 1.5L hot water in a large saucepan. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, for 15 minutes until fig paste has dissolved. Strain and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to cool completely.

2.Combine fig mixture with the wine and apricot brandy (if using) in a jug and chill until ready to serve.

3.Serve punch alongside a plate of fresh grapes, cheese and crackers.
