There’s truly nothing as delicious and comforting as a molten, melty cheese with bread, whether you’re alone in Ugg Boots or surrounded by friends for a dinner party.
Ingredients (5)
- 3 small garlic cloves
- 1 Le Duc Vacherin cheese (in its box)
- 1/4 cup (60ml) dry white wine or red wine
- 4 thyme sprigs
- Crusty bread, to serve

1.Preheat the oven to 200˚C.

2.Bring a saucepan of salted water to the boil over high heat. Blanch garlic cloves for 4 minutes, then drain and refresh under cold running water and slice in half lengthwise. Remove wrapping from cheese and return cheese to its box (leave the lid off). Pierce the cheese in six places with a sharp knife and gently push the garlic into the holes. Pour over the wine, ensuring it seeps into the cheese. Sprinkle with thyme and freshly ground black pepper.

3.Place the cheese on a baking tray and bake for 10 minutes or until the rind is bursting slightly. Serve with crusty bread.
