The Bold Sour cocktail
Ingredients (6)
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Regal Rogue Bold Red vermouth (substitute other red vermouth)
- Juice of 1/2 a lemon
- Dash of cherry bitters (substitute Angostura bitters)
- Crushed ice, plus extra to serve
- Roasted wattleseed (optional) and thinly sliced candied ginger, to serve
Sugar syrup
- 1/2 cup (110g) caster sugar
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.For the sugar syrup, combine sugar and 1/2 cup (125ml) water in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Transfer to a heatproof container and chill until completely cooled (syrup can be stored, covered and chilled, for up to 2 months).

2.To make the cocktail, combine vermouth, lemon juice, bitters, 2 tsp sugar syrup and crushed ice in a cocktail shaker and shake until well combined. Strain into a tumbler filled with extra ice, sprinkle with wattleseed, if using, and top with candied ginger to serve.
