Cherry gin and tonic

Complex cocktails are the pits to make for a crowd. Keep it simple with this chilled Khanh Ong creation.

Ingredients (6)

  • 6 cherries, pitted
  • 1 rosemary sprig
  • Ice cubes, to serve
  • 50ml Tanqueray Dry Gin
  • 50ml cherry juice (see note)
  • Chilled tonic water, to serve

Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

Method

  • 1.
    Tear in half 4 cherries and add to a short glass. Skewer remaining cherries onto a sprig of rosemary.
  • 2.
    Add ice until the glass is 3/4 filled. Pour over gin and cherry juice and top up with tonic water. Stir and serve garnished with cherry and rosemary skewer.

Recipe Notes

You can buy cherry juice in supermarkets but you can also mash a few fresh or even better frozen cherries to make the juice.
