Impress guests at your next dinner party with this simple starter.

Ingredients (6)

  • 12 thin slices coppa ham
  • 75g piece Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, shaved
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 2 crisp pears (such as Williams or beurre bosc)
  • Handful of rocket leaves

Method

  • 1.
    Lay out the coppa, slightly overlapping, across a large serving platter (as if it were carpaccio), then scatter with Parmigiano shavings.
  • 2.
    Combine the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and sea salt and pepper in a large bowl. Cut the pears into thin slivers and toss in the dressing with the rocket leaves. Scatter over the top of the parmesan and serve.
