This easy CWA Anzac biscuit recipe proves you can't beat a classic. Using rich golden syrup, rolled oats and desiccated coconut for extra crunch, these are sure to the best Anzac biscuits you will ever make. Recipe by the CWA Victoria.
Ingredients (8)
- 125g butter, chopped
- 2 tbs Woolworths Golden Syrup
- 1/2 tsp bicarb soda
- 2 tbs boiling water
- 1 cup (220g) caster sugar
- 1 cup (150g) plain flour
- 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
- 3/4 cup (60g) desiccated coconut

1.Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

2.Place butter and golden syrup in a medium saucepan and cook over medium heat until butter melts. Mix bicarb and boiling water in a small bowl, then stir through butter mixture. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well combined.

3.Roll level 1 tbs measures into balls and place on prepared tray, leaving a 4cm gap between each. Slightly flatten each ball. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden. Cool on trays.
