Create a fine dining experience at home with this fresh and smoked salmon tartare with dill and capers.

Ingredients (10)

  • 450g sashimi-grade salmon, cut into 1cm pieces
  • 250g smoked salmon, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) lime juice (from 2 limes)
  • 2 eschalots, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped dill
  • 1/4 cup (50g) salted capers, rinsed, drained, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
  • Toasted sourdough bread and watercress (optional), to serve

Method

  • 1.
    Combine all salmon, lime juice, eschalot, oil, dill, capers and mustards. Season, then cover and chill for 15 minutes.
  • 2.
    Serve with buttered sourdough toasts and watercress, if using.
