Honey-glazed pork
This Asian-inspired dish will delight the whole family.

Ingredients (9)

  • 1/2 cup dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup honey, plus 1/4 cup, to glaze
  • 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) mirin
  • 2 tablespoons shaohsing rice wine
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon five spice
  • 500g pork fillet
  • Steamed greens, to serve

Method

  • 1.
    Place soy, honey, hoisin, mirin, shaohsing rice wine, cinnamon and five spice in a bowl. Add pork and marinate for 2-3 hours.
  • 2.
    Preheat oven to 180°C. Fill a deep baking dish 2.5cm deep with boiling water, then place a roasting rack over the tray. Place pork on rack and roast for 15 minutes. Brush with remaining honey before returning to oven for 15 minutes. Serve with steamed greens.
