Ikan bilis with peanuts
Hot and crisp, ikan bilis (dried anchovies) are an Indonesian staple.
Ingredients (4)
- Sunflower oil, to shallow-fry
- 1/3 cup ikan bilis (dried anchovies)
- 1/3 cup (50g) roasted peanuts (skin on)
- 2 tbs fried Asian shallots
Method
-
1.Heat 2cm oil in a frypan over medium-high heat. Fry anchovies for 1 minute until crisp and golden. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towel and allow to cool. Toss with nuts and shallots and serve.
