The ultimate two-cheese toastie
Say cheese with this delicious toasted sandwich recipe inspired by none other than Harry's Bar in Venice.
Ingredients (10)
- 150g Taleggio or fontina cheese, at room temperature, chopped
- 150g grated mozzarella
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard, plus extra to serve
- 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbs double cream
- 8 slices sourdough or brioche bread
- 8 thin slices prosciutto, plus extra to serve
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 50g unsalted butter
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.Place bread slices on a clean work surface. Combine Taleggio, mozzarella, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, egg yolk and cream in a bowl. Spread 2 tbs cheese mixture over each slice of bread.

2.Top 4 of the slices of bread with 2 slices of prosciutto each, then sandwich with remaining bread slices.

3.In two batches, heat half the oil and butter in a large frypan over medium-high heat. Add 2 sandwiches and cook, turning halfway, for 5 minutes or until bread is golden and cheese has melted.

4.Keep warm. Repeat with remaining oil, butter and sandwiches. Serve warm with extra mustard and prosciutto.
