Malaysian satay beef
Short on time? Whether you are cooking for one or the whole family this quick and easy dinner is sure to please. And the best part? The leftovers are even better the next day for lunch.
Ingredients (12)
- 6 tbsp satay sauce, plus more for serving
- 1 lemon, zest only
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 400g beef fillet, sliced thinly
- Wooden skewers, soaked in water
- 1 cos lettuce, quartered
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- Steamed rice, for serving

1.Combine satay sauce, lemon zest, turmeric, cumin, salt and sesame oil in a bowl. Add beef and set aside to marinade for at least 1 hour.

2.Threat beef strips onto skewers and grill over charcoal or on a hot skillet until just done.

3.Serve with steamed rice, red onion, lettuce, cucumber slices and warm satay sauce.
