Make this special treat a part of an indulgent weekend feast perfect for friends.
Ingredients (6)
- 1.5L (6 cups) milk
- 1/3 cup (40g) malted milk powder
- 1/4 cup (55g) caster sugar
- 400g can condensed milk
- 2/3 cup (70g) milk powder
- 6 egg yolks
Method

1.Place milk and malt powder in a pan over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Stir in sugar and condensed and powdered milks. Reduce heat to very low, then whisk in yolks. Cook, stirring constantly, for 3-4 minutes until mixture coats the back of a spoon. Pour into a shallow container and freeze for 2 hours until frozen at the edges. Beat with electric beaters, then return to freezer. Repeat 2-3 times, then freeze until firm.
