Maple snags with mustard mash

Ingredients (4)

  • 1kg potatoes (such as desiree or pontiac), peeled, cut into chunks
  • 1kg swedes*, peeled, cut into chunks
  • 100g unsalted butter, plus extra to serve
  • Chopped fresh chives, to serve

Method

  • 1.
    Place potato and swede in separate pans of cold, salted water, bring to the boil then simmer for 15 minutes until soft. Drain and roughly mash each with 50g of the butter, then season. Place in serving bowls, top with extra butter and chives.
