These doughnuts are a fantastic dessert idea for a summer barbecue, and theyre so easy to prepare.

Ingredients (4)

  • 3 large peaches (seeds removed), cut into four slices each
  • Caster sugar, to scatter
  • 6 cinnamon doughnuts, halved horizontally
  • Vanilla ice cream, to serve

Method

  • 1.
    Heat a lightly greased barbecue to high heat. Place the peaches on a large tray and scatter liberally with the sugar. Barbecue for 2-3 minutes, turning halfway, until caramelised. Set aside.
  • 2.
    Barbecue doughnuts for 30 seconds each side, until charred and warmed through. Place the base of the doughnut on a platter, top with 2 slices of peaches, then a generous scoop of ice cream. Sandwich with doughnut tops and serve immediately.
