This indulgent dessert combines the juicy sweetness of pears with the spiced, caramelised flavour of Biscoff biscuits. It's a comforting treat that's perfect for any occasion. Serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of double cream for extra indulgence.

You’ll need a round 1.5L capacity dish for this recipe.

Ingredients (8)

  • 4 ripe pears, peeled, cored, sliced
  • 2 1/2 tbs lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup (75g) plain flour
  • 1/2 cup (45g) rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup (80g) brown sugar
  • 100g unsalted butter, melted
  • 125g Biscoff biscuits, crushed
  • Ice cream or double cream and maple syrup, to serve

Method

  • 1.
    Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced.
  • 2.
    In a large bowl, toss the pear slices with lemon juice. Arrange them evenly in a round 1.5L capacity dish.
  • 3.
    In another bowl, combine flour, oats and brown sugar. Add melted butter and mix well. Add crushed Biscoff biscuits and mix until combined. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the pears.
  • 4.
    Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the pears are tender.
  • 5.
    Serve warm with double cream and a drizzle of maple syrup.
