Pecan and orange snowballs
Add a citrus twist to your Christmas celebrations with this sweet treat.
Ingredients (6)
- 2 cups (200g) almond meal
- 140g hazelnut meal
- 1/2 cup (70g) pecans, finely chopped
- 1 cup (120g) icing sugar, sifted, plus extra to coat
- Zest of 2 oranges
- 4 egg whites, lightly beaten

1.Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.

2.Combine almond and hazelnut meals, pecan, icing sugar and zest in a bowl, then stir in egg white. Using your hands, bring dough together into a stiff mixture. Place extra sugar in a bowl. Roll dough into 1 tbs portions, then coat thickly in extra sugar. Place cookies on prepared trays and bake for 16-17 minutes until starting to crack. Cool and dust with icing sugar, to serve.
