Ploughman’s lunch
Less cooking than assembling, this ploughman's lunch is nonetheless awesome. We love it paired with a hopsy beer. 

Ingredients (8)

  • 4 slices crusty bread, crusty bread rolls or 1/2 baguette
  • 40g butter
  • 250g mature farmhouse cheddar, Stilton, Cheshire or double Gloucester cheese
  • 4 tablespoons chutney
  • 2 tomatoes
  • Bread and butter cucumbers
  • Salt and pepper
  • Grapes

Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

Method

  • 1.
    Arrange the bread on a large platter or plate.
  • 2.
    Cut 125g of cheese per person, it is nice to have a choice of two cheeses, such as Cheddar and Stilton - arrange these on the same platter/plate.
  • 3.
    Put the pickled onions, cucumbers and chutney or pickles on the side of the plate, along with the tomato and grapes.
  • 4.
    Make sure there is salt and pepper available, and serve with a nice chilled beer or cider!
