Porridge
Porridge is the perfect winter breakfast. Not only is it warming and filling, it’s also super easy to make when you’re still half asleep. Give our porridge recipe a try and get your morning off to a satisfying start.

Ingredients (2)

  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  • Pure cream or milk and brown sugar, to serve (optional)

Method

  • 1.
    Place oats and 2 1/4 cups (560ml) water in a medium saucepan over high heat. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer, stirring constantly, for 5-7 minutes until mixture thickens and oats are tender (mixture should coat the back of a wooden spoon).

    Remove from the heat. Divide mixture between serving bowls. Drizzle with cream or milk and sprinkle with sugar, if using. Serve immediately.
