Post-workout protein bowl
The perfect easy post-workout breakfast option.
This recipe is an edited extract from Bondi Harvest: Balance - the Australian Wholefood Cook Book by Guy Turland and Mark Alston, $39.99, HarperCollins, out now.
Ingredients (11)
- 1 tablespoon rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons protein powder
- 2 frozen bananas, peeled and chopped
- 45 g (1. oz/1 ⁄3 cup) macadamia nuts
- 1 vanilla bean, split, seeds scraped
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 500 ml (17 fl oz/2 cups) coconut water
- 1 tablespoon almonds
- 1 cup granola
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 teaspoon cocoa nibs
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.Place the oats, protein powder, bananas, macadamias, vanilla seeds and maple syrup into a blender with half the coconut water. Blend on high, then slowly add remaining coconut water until mixture is thick and smooth.

2.Garnish with almonds, granola, banana and cocoa nibs.
