Rose caramel apples
A tasty reinvention of the toffee apples from our childhoods. Be sure to serve with a hearty dollop of nostalgia.
Ingredients (4)
- Sunflower oil spray, to grease
- 10 small Pink Lady apples
- 3 cups (660g) caster sugar
- 1/2 cup edible rose petals (from gourmet food shops)
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.Line a baking tray with baking paper and spray with oil.

2.Insert sticks into the top of the apples. Place the sugar in a deep saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook, swirling frequently, for 20 minutes or until a dark caramel. Remove from heat.

3.Working with 1 apple at a time, carefully dip each apple in caramel, turning to coat and allowing excess to drip off. Scatter with rose petals and place on prepared tray. Repeat with remaining apples.

4.Set aside for 30 minutes to set before serving.
