These smoked salmon and quail egg skewers are the perfect appetiser for your next social event. Taking just seconds to assemble, each layer offers a delicious bite, from the creamy quail egg dipped in aioli and covered in chives to the elegant fold of smoked salmon wrapped beneath the sharp caperberry balancing the flavours. Recipe note: You'll need six thin 8cm skewers. Pair these skewers with our prosciutto skewers with manchego cheese and capsicum, olive and anchovy skewers.
Ingredients (5)
- 2 (75g total) large slices smoked salmon
- 6 hard-boiled quail eggs (from Asian and specialty grocers), peeled
- 2 tbs aioli
- 2 tbs finely chopped chives
- 6 caperberries (from specialty grocers)

1.Tear salmon into 6 strips. Dip an egg halfway into aioli then press into chopped chives to coat. Skewer with salmon and a caperberry to finish. Repeat to make 6.
