Sticky miso pork with soba noodles
A quick and nutritious, asian-fusion noodle dish that will have the whole family going back for seconds.

Ingredients (5)

  • 2 tbs each miso paste, honey, soy sauce
  • 2 pork fillets (about 350g each), cut into 1cm-thick slices
  • 1⁄4 cup (60ml) peanut or sunflower oil
  • 1 x 270g pack soba noodles
  • Sesame seeds, sliced long green and red chillies, and mizuna or rocket leaves to serve

Method

  • 1.
    Combine the miso, honey and soy sauce, then combine with the pork and set aside for 10 minutes to marinate. Heat 11⁄2 tbs oil in a wok or large frypan over medium-high heat. Add half the pork and cook for 4-5 minutes, tossing, until slightly charred and cooked through.
  • 2.
    Deglaze the pan with 2 tbs water then remove from the pan. Repeat process with the remaining oil and pork, deglazing the pan again.
  • 3.
    Cook the noodles to packet instructions. Serve noodles with pork and top with sesame seeds,chilli, mizuna and pan juices.
