Vin d'orange
Start off a French-inspired meal with an apertif, where white wine is infused oranges, cinnamon and vanilla beans.
Ingredients (7)
- 2 x 750ml bottles dry white wine
- 1 cup (250ml) vodka
- 4 oranges (unpeeled), chopped
- 1 cinnamon quill
- 1 cup (220g) caster sugar
- 2 vanilla beans, split, seeds scraped
- Chilled soda water, to serve
Method

1.Place wine, vodka, orange, cinnamon, sugar and vanilla pods and seeds in a bowl, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Divide among sterilised glass bottles, then seal. Keep in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks or up to 1 month.

2.To serve, strain the vin d'orange into glasses filled with ice, then top with chilled soda water.
