This sweet and soothing drink will be your new winter cure-all.

Ingredients (5)

  • 2L bottled apple juice
  • Strips of lemon rind from 1 lemon
  • 2cm piece ginger, finely sliced
  • 8 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 green apple, thinly sliced

Method

  • 1.
    Place apple juice in a jug with lemon rind, ginger and 2 cinnamon sticks. Leave to infuse for 1 hour, then transfer to a saucepan. Heat gently and strain into heatproof glasses. Place a cinnamon stick and an apple slice into each glass, and serve warm.
