Cheat's Christmas gravy
Whole apples baked in beer. Need we say more?
Ingredients (8)
- 3 Granny Smith apples, core removed
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- 1 tbs Dijon mustard
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 4 rosemary sprigs
- 2 tbs pine nuts
- 1 cup (250ml) beer
Don't forget you can add these ingredients to your Woolworths shopping list.

1.Preheat oven to 200C.

2.Place apples, onion and garlic in a medium deep roasting tray. Combine mustard and olive oil and use to fill apples. Push rosemary through, then sprinkle over the pinenuts. Pour over beer, bake for 1 hour until softened.

3.Transfer to a food processor and process until smooth. Transfer to jars and serve with ham.
